Sometimes our role as wedding photographers isn't photographing the bride and groom preparations through to the first dance. Martin and Liz decided that the most important aspects of their day were capturing the ceremony, couple portraits and family group photos. So we got to work!
"We had these on our wedding day. Phenomenal photographers throughout. Cannot speak more highly of these great professionals. Thank you to you both for the great wedding photo package!"Liz and Martin
The Duncan’s got married at The Abode Hotel in Canterbury, and the highlight of the wedding ceremony was when Martin and Liz brought their baby daughter up to share in the celebrations. A lot of weddings we photograph are child-free zones, however, the happy couple embraced the children, joking and laughing throughout; it really added to the happy occasion. Seemingly, Liz didn't care for the usual tradition of ceremonies either: as soon as the register was signed, she went around the room hugging all her guests only to be called back by the registrars. These two didn't play by the rules…and it made it super fun to shoot!
After the ceremony, we whisked the newlyweds off for a short portrait session in the Franciscan Gardens in Canterbury. These secret gardens are a lovely backdrop, and with the weather being incredible, it was a case of allowing the environment, elements and the happy couple to do their thing! We then photographed the nearest and dearest in the sun before the guests partied the night away!
We loved being a part of Martin and Liz's special day, and we wish them the very best for their future together.
