Sometimes, even the most careful planning can result in unforeseen circumstances. When Rosie and David booked their wedding for the end of July (just a week or two after the hottest day of the year) we expected blazing sunshine, but the great British weather decided not to play ball…but we were determined not to let this affect the beauty of this day! The couple had meticulously planned their wedding day at the Abode Hotel in Canterbury, and a little bit of rain wasn’t going to get in the way of that!
“Thank you so much! We’ve had a look through the photographs and they are fantastic! They capture the whole day so well”
Rosie and David Lehmann
The day started with Rosie’s bridal prep in the Fab Suite which was an intimate affair with her sister, bridal party and mum, all of whom were incredibly cool and calm during the whole morning! Meanwhile, downstairs at the bar, David and his entourage were learning speeches with a little dutch courage.
The ceremony was a truly intimate and tender affair with family and friends watching on. Shortly after the ceremony, there was a break in the rain where we managed to take the couple outside for some portraits, but alas, after a few minutes the heavens opened again and everybody rushed back indoors. We therefore used one of the hotel’s rooms for the group and family shots, before the wedding breakfast began.
After everyone’s bellies were full, the cake was cut and the band Tundra kicked off the evening’s celebrations which went on well into the night.
The team at Sundance Wedding Photography would like to wish Rosie and David all the very best for the future together!
