A very cold but picturesque March morning was the setting for Rachael and Adrian's incredible wedding, and our first of the 2018 wedding season. Chilston Park in Maidstone, Kent was the perfect backdrop for a snowy day with the sprawling grounds and amazing rooms. Walking in to the hotel, we both knew today was going to be a good day!

An intimate and elegant ceremony was followed by our quickest group shot of the ever…although the weather looked nice, there was no denying how cold it really was! Group shots always test the patience of guests but asking them to stand in minus temperatures for an extended period of time would be a bit cruel, so it was a case of speeding everything up so they could get back to the roaring fire and wine!
We then took the opportunity to take some portrait shots of Rachel and Adrian in an incredible room with grand stairs, paintings the size of people and lovely window light coming from above. As wedding photographers, sometimes you've got to get out of your own way and let the environment do the work!
We left the happy couple partying into the night, hoping it wouldn't be long before we captured a wedding here again…just maybe without the freezing conditions next time though!
